About Clemmons Presbyterian Church
In September 1961, a small group of local Presbyterians met to discuss plans for a Presbyterian church in Clemmons, NC. In January 1962, they gathered for their first official service. Since then the church has built a permanent home on Clemmons Road. Over the past 60+ years, Clemmons Presbyterian Church has become a vital part of the community continuing to grow its membership, its footprint in the community and the world, and its service to God. Clemmons Presbyterian Church is a member congregation of Salem Presbytery. Salem Presbytery is a presbytery of the Presbyterian Church (USA), composed of member churches in the Piedmont and north west mountains of North Carolina.
Clemmons Presbyterian Church believes we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that the inclusive love of God is expansive, reaching out to neighbors and friends near and far, and reconciling all people to community. At Clemmons Presbyterian Church, we celebrate each individual and their gifts and seek to collaborate together to build an intergenerational communion of saints.
CPC seeks to be a place where imperfect people can gather to worship, ask questions, celebrate the sacraments, study and be formed by God’s Word, to care for Christ’s saints, to complete the lifecycle by ministering to children, youth, and adults alike, and empowering the “priesthood of all believers” to preach the Gospel and serve Christ’s world by embodying the love of God in word, actions, thoughts, and deeds.
